Getting Started Guide

Guide · ~8 min read · Set up your workspace end to end

Welcome to FinvHub. This guide walks you from a fresh signup to a workspace that's ready to invoice customers, pay staff and keep your books — in about ten minutes. You don't need accounting expertise; FinvHub handles the double-entry behind the scenes.

1. Create your account & workspace

1

Go to app.finvhub.com/signup, enter your details, and choose your organisation type — Standalone (one company), Consulting firm / HR bureau, or Holding company. Bureaus and groups can manage many companies under one login.

2

Choose your plan

Pick the plan that matches how you'll use FinvHub — payroll, accounting, or the full suite. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required. You can change or upgrade later.

Tip: Your country's tax and pension tables are pre-loaded, and they're fully editable — so you can adapt statutory rules to any jurisdiction from Settings → Tax & Pension.

2. Configure your company

From Settings → Company, set your legal name, logo, address, base currency and registration numbers (e.g. tax ID, employer social-security number). These appear on your invoices, payslips and statutory reports.

3. Add users & set roles

Invite your team under Users. Each person gets a role that controls what they can see and do:

Approvals are maker-checker: whoever prepares a payroll run or payment can't be the one who approves it.

4. Review your chart of accounts

FinvHub loads a standard chart of accounts so your books work immediately. Open Accounting → Chart of Accounts to review it, rename accounts, or add your own. Every account has a code, type (asset, liability, equity, income, expense) and normal balance.

5. Add your first records

You're ready. Depending on what you're here for:

You're set. As you work, every invoice, bill and pay run posts a balanced journal automatically — so your P&L and balance sheet stay live and correct.
